JAY JONES, 51, of 1810 Windermere Windermere Ave., Stanton, died Saturday in Christiana Hospital. Mr. Jones was an engineer for Zeneca Inc. for 25 years. Earlier, he worked for ADDCO, a drafting firm in Wilmington. He was a member of the Athletic Advisory Council for the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington Wilmington CYO and St. John the Beloved Catholic Church Athletic Association. He was a member of the Diamond State Umpire Association Association and the Delaware Collegiate Baseball Umpire Association. He was involved in the StantonNewport StantonNewport Little League serving as coach, manager and league official. Survivors: wife of 32 years, Peggy McCormick Jones; sons, John I. IV of Fredericksburg, Va., Paul M. of Newark, and James J. at home; daughters, Heather A. Blake of Wilmington, and Holly Lyn Jones at home; mother, Helen M. Jones of Havertown, Pa.; brother, Jeff of Valley Forge, Pa.; sister, Marianne Schaeffer of West Chester, Pa.; four grandchildren. Mass: 8 p.m. Thursday, St. John the Beloved Catholic Church, 907 Milltown Road. Visitation: 6 p.m.. Burial: private. Contributions: Blood Bank of Delaware, 100 Hygeia Drive, Newark, DE 19713.
