KENNETH JAMES BAER SR., 67, of Porter Road, Bear, died Wednesday at home. Mr. Baer had worked for 30 years as a truck driver for Yellow Freight, retiring in 1989. He was a member of Teamsters Local 326 and a Korean War Army veteran. From the 1950s through the 1970s, he played with the Mason-Dixon Mason-Dixon Mason-Dixon Boys, a country westernbluegrass band, and accompanied many well-known well-known well-known artists, including Ernest Tubbs and Jimmy Dickins. He played several instruments, but was best known for steel guitar. He was a member of New Castle Moose Lodge. Survivors: wife of 46 years, Eleanor A. Baer; sons, David, Gary, Dale and Mark, all of Bear, and Kenny of Smyrna; mother, Mabel K. Baer of Bear; sister, Ida Jannuizzio of Wilmington; brothers, brothers, George of Harrington, Donald and Robert, both of Bear; 10 grandchildren. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Tuesday, Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middle-town. Middle-town. Middle-town.
