Roland Fisher, 61, the retired executive director of William "Hicks" Anderson Community Center, Wilmington, died Tuesday of congestive heart failure at home. Mr. Fisher, of 4307 Ruskin Road, Brandy-wine Hills, worked for the city of Wilmington for 26 years, retiring in 1996 from his position at the community center. Previously, he was a counselor at Ferris School, a recreational therapist at Delaware State Hospital, director of H. Fletcher Brown Mr. Fisher Hoys Club and a clerk for Wilmington's Municipal Court. He was a member of the Monday Club, Metropolitan Mr. and Mrs. Club, Wilmington Coin Club and Delaware Recreation & Parks Society. He served on advisory board of the West Center City Day Care board and on the sub-committee of the Food Bank of Delaware. Survivors: wife of 35 years, Retha a. risher; daughters, Whitney G. Fisher and Sara C. Bronson, both of Wilmington; sisters, Hilda F. Johnson of Sanford, N.C.. and Yolanda Fisher Middle-ton of Philadelphia. Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Episcopal Church of Saints Andrew and Matthew, Eighth and Shipley streets, Wilmington. Burial: private. Contributions: William "Hicks" Anderson Community Center for the Roland Fisher Outstanding Individual Achievement Award Fund.
