Suspected of the theft of a wallet containing more than $500 from a Puerto Rican farm laborer, Mary Austin, 35, of Wocdstown was ordered ordered held in $1,000 bail for grand jury action in Municipal Court. Police who learned of the loss from Tirado after he and two companions companions had been entertained by the Austin woman and Helen Mor-rissey, Mor-rissey, Mor-rissey, 40 West Broadway, Salem, at a Walnut Street home said the occupant of the house, John Gaundy, had been charged with operating a disorderly place. Gaundy was fined $200 under a municipal ordinance and his wife, Lillian, placed on probation for six months for aiding and abetting the operation of a disorderly house. Tirado, police said, ana nis two companions, justino Meienaez ana Isidoro Mulero, were employed on the Carman Sassi farm on Auburn Road. They became chance acquant-ances acquant-ances acquant-ances with the two women in a nearby taproom. The Morrissey woman was fined $50 and placed on probation for six months, after pleading guilty to a disorderly charge. Gaundy and his wife also entered pleas of guilt but the Austin woman pleaded innocent to the theft charge after entering a guilty plea to a charge of prostitution.
