The'subject of an exposition of Wil mmgton industries wus taken up for con sideration. and the Committee on the sub ject reported as follows The Committee on Expositin respectfully report: That in theiriuusrment, if the eition is to be confined entirely to the products of the State, it will be inexpedient to attempt it for the reasons that our manu factures are not sulHcientlv varied and at tractive in their character, to make up such an exhibition as would command the atten tion of the public. If, however, it be the de sign to admit exhibitors from other states, the Committee would desire further time for a careful examination of the subject, and would suggest the enlargement of the Com mittee.

Mr. Lea offered a resolution authorizing the appointment of -a committee to take such as they may deem best to in crease the membership of the Board and attract other business interests to the daily meetings, which was adopted, and the Chair appointed as said committee Messrs.

Lea, LeMahtrc, Croasdale, Hastings and Mendinhall. the daily meetings was called up, and the general opinion expressed that the change, if ratified by the Board, would release from their pielge the thirty firms who agreed to attend the mcelmss daily from 12 to 12 SO, and, alter a prolonged discussion of th whole subject, on motion of E. The work of rebuilding the Smyrna M. E. Church has been com pleted and the edifice will be dedicated on Sunday. Lecture. John O'Brrne, who has just returned from a ehort lecturing tour in the East, will speak on Labor Reform before the Workingmen's Institute on Sattu day evening.

To-ioht. The Workingmen's League meets to-night. It was expected an ad dress would be delivered by J. L. Kil'gore, but it is possible he may be out oi town.

He will, however, address the League eoon. Badly Used Michael Doran, a resi dent of East Liberty street, was severely cut about the head with razors and other wise injured on Monday evening, by seve ral uegroes on Water etreet. The negroes had ordered Doran off the railroad track, and because he refused to obey thev as saulted him. No arrests have been made. Smtkna Emigrant Aid Society.

At a public meeting held in Smyrna last Saturday the Smyrna Emigrant Aid Society" was organized, its object being to intro duce foreign labor in the vicinity of that town. John II. Bewley, was elected permanent President, James Williams Secretary, and K. Jones Treasurer. After the transaction of other business of no Importance the Society adjourned to meet on Saturday next.

A Large Casting. E. C. Stotsenburg Son have just cast for Messrs. Cramp Sons, the Philadelphia shipbuilders, a con denser weighing twenty-two and a-half tons, intended for one of the Pennsylvania Railroad Company's new steamers, now being built in Philadelphia.

It seems that no firm in all Philadelphia cou-d be foun able to do this work, and the job had to be given to this citv. If thev bad given the contract for building the vessel to our shipbuilders we warraut that all the work would have been done here. Mission Meeting.
