Townsend was a member of the Farmers Bank board of directors for 35 years and a trustee of John M. Clayton High School for eight years. He retired in 1961 from the U.S. Postal Service. Surviving are a son, Charles P.

Jr. of Dagsboro; a brother, Alden of Georgetown; two sisters, Margaret Bramhall of Georgetown, and Elizabeth Burton of Lewes; and a grandchild. His wife, Naomi died in 1976. -Charlie H. Wilson, 69, of Goldsboro, died at his home yesterday after a short illness. Mr. Wilson was employed at San-Del Packing in Goldsboro. His wife, Ethel died in 1977.

He is survived by two sons, P. Edward Armstrong, 72, of Whaleyville, died Monday in Peninsula General Hospital, Salisbury, after a short illness. Mr. Armstrong was a horse groomer before retiring a few years ago. Walter P. Gerres Walter P. Gerres, 75, a retired Du Pont Co. receiving clerk, died Tuesday at the Episcopal Church Home after a long illness. Mr.

Eveland, 68, of 586 Capitol Trail, Newark, was dead on arrival at the Delaware Division Tuesday of an apparent heart attack. Mr. Eveland was stricken while on a hunting trip near Odessa with two friends. He retired in 1975 as a Du Pont Co. Edgemoor plant superintendent with 36 years of service.

He was a past master of Hiram Lodge A.F. A.M. and an active member of Red Lion Evangelical Association. Surviving are his wife, Sara two daughters, Yvonne E. Cheadle of Newark and Donna E.
