Mrs. Brazell was a secretary at Resurrection Catholic Church in Chester for 24 years, retiring in 1980. Afterward, she worked at Dantonio Art Center in Wilmington, Delaware, for 10 years, retiring 1991.

Survivors: husband, Bill Brazell; sons, Thomas of Wilmington and Gary of Boothwyn, daughters, Marietta Dantonio of Wilmington and Christina O'Brien of Marcus Hook; brother, John Orobono of Brookhaven, sister, Addie Gorga of Boothwyn; five grandchildren. ARMINDA du PONT, 69, of Greenville, died Saturday of an aneurysm at home. Mrs. du Pont was founder and chairperson of the Delaware Antiques Show in 1960s and continued to serve on its advisory committee.

She was a member of the Garden Club of Wilmington, past chairperson of the Christmas Shop and a lifelong member of the North Woods Club in Minerva, N.Y. Her husband, Eleuthere died in 1994. Survivors: son, Charles F. of Greenville; daughters, Eleuthera D. "Kisa" Flerx of Cassatt, S.C., and S.

Du Pont Wilmington. LENA EPISCOPO, 91, of 1508 Maryland Wilmington, died Sunday of heart failure at Parkview Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Episcopo, formerly of 1934 W. Ninth was a lifelong member of St.

Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and a member of its Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality. She was a waitress and cook at the church's Fournier Hall for 31 years before retiring in 1980, then became a volunteer at its monthly spaghetti dinners. She was a member of St. Anthony and St. Thomas senior centers.

Her husband, Anthony, died in 1956. Survivors: daughter, Lorraine Shannon of Wilmington, with whom she lived; son, Art of Wilmington; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Service and burial: private. Contributions: St. Anthony's Senior Center, Ninth and Du Pont streets.

CECIL P. "JUNIE" GOUGH 71, of Rising Sun, died Saturday of a stroke in Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace. Mr. Gough worked for Aberdeen Proving Ground in reproduction and field printing for more than 28 years, retiring in 1971. Service: private. GWENDOLYN F. HAYES, 69, of of Wilmington, died Wednesday blood poisoning in Kentmere Home of Merciful Rest. Mrs. Hayes, a graduate of the Barbizon School of Modeling in Philadelphia, had a brief modeling career.

She was a volunteer at Hagley Museum and was active in YWCA dance programs. Burial: Unionville Cemetery, Kennett Square, Pa. GEORGE KAZAN, 79, of 2109 Sherwood Road, Arden, died Fri- day in Wilmington Hospital. Mr. Kazan worked for Allied Chemical Co. for more than 30 years, retiring as a corporate vice president of research and development in 1974.

He was a board member of the Chemical and Engineering Consulting Group, Wilmington, and was one of the founders of the Academy of Lifelong Learning, an adult education program sponsored by the University of Delaware. THALIA LEWIS KEEN, 89, of Dagsboro, formerly of Pocomoke City, died Saturday in Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, of heart failure. Mrs. Keen was a homemaker and had a poultry vaccinating business in the 1950s. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Dagsboro, Dagsboro's Women's Republican Club and the Historical Society of Georgetown and a life member of Pocomoke Soroptomist Club. Box 148, Rising Sun, Md. 21911. REBECCA ELLEN RHODES, founder and former president of the Handicap Advocacy Network of Delaware died Friday of complications from multiple sclerosis at home. She was 44 and lived in Newark. Ms.

Rhodes was a graduate of the University of Delaware and worked as a special education teacher in various Delaware schools for about six years. She also was a member of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Delaware's board of directors and won the organization's national award in 1985 for her volunteer work. Survivors: brother, Richard E. She was 52 and lived in Laurel. Mrs. Whaley was a member of St. Phillip's Episcopal Church in Laurel. She helped found the forum, which aids homeless families in finding homes and jobs, after realizing that some children whose behavior and health problems warranted a call home had no home to call.

The group is working to establish a temporary shelter in Laurel. Mrs. Whaley became a nurse at Laurel Intermediate about 15 ago, after working many years at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. Survivors: husband, Wayne son, Larry daughters, Michele Oney and Kimberly L. Parker, and father, Levin H.

Oscar Adams, ex-justice on Alabama high court Associated Press BIRMINGHAM, Ala. Former state Supreme Court Justice Oscar Adams the first black person elected to statewide office in Alabama, died Saturday of cancer. He was 72. Adams made state history when Gov. Fob James appointed him to a vacancy on Alabama's high court in 1980.

He was the first black to serve on the court and was reelected twice, stepping down in 1993. When he won his first election in 1982, he was the first black to win a statewide elective office in the history of Alabama.
