64 THE NEWS JOURNAL MONDAY, JULY 26, 1999 OBITUARIES Baker. Rnhot Ann J. Olender Age 66. Of Wilmington, DE. Died Friday, July 23, 1999 at home with her family.

Mrs. Olender was a Para Professional Teacher's Aide for 25 years in the Red Clay and Chnstina School Districts. She taught CCD at St. Catherine of Siena R.C. Church.

She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption R.C. Church in Hockessin. Her husband, Leon A. Olender, died in 1993.

She is survived by her son, Leonard Olender of Oxford, England; her Robert L. Fisher Of Richardson Park, Wilmington, DE. Age 87. Died Wednesday, July 21, 1999 at The Brandywine Nursing Home. Mr.

Fisher was employed by the US Post Office, retiring in 1968 after 30 years of service. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Margaret B. Fisher; beloved father to Janice F. Seaman of Wilmington and Robert L. Fisher, II of Dover; his great friend and son-in-law, Andrew Seaman of Wilmington.

Brian was a self-employed carpenter. He was born in Chester, PA and resided in Aston for 42 years. He graduated from Sun Valley High School and attended Folcroft vo-Tech. He was very active in the boys scouts and enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. Husband of the late Susan Van-Demark Low, who died in 1996.

He is survived by sons, Alan and Joshua at home; step-children, Margie and Bobbie Waite of Aston; mother, Mrs. Olive Low of Aston; father, Mr. Chalmer Low of Maple-ton Depot, PA; brother Chalmer of Aston; sister, Connie Reese of New Castle, DE; a dear friend Gail Watson of West Chester, PA; 1 step-grandson. Roman worked as a secretary in the family business ot reai estate and insurance. She previously worked for the rationing boara in New Castle during WWII. Mrs. Roman was a graduate of the university of Delaware with a degree in Education, teaching in the New Castle Elementary School. She was a former member of the New Castle Century Club, as well as the New Castle and Delaware Historical Societies.

She also belonged to the Arasapha Garden Club in New Castle and the four square guild ot the New Castle Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Roman in 1984. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joan Richard Berl of New Castle; 5 grandchildren and 9 greatgrandchildren. VISITATION: Tuesday, Juty 27, from 10-11 am.

Vera was born in Wilmington, DE on December 15, 1911 to the late Louise and Anthony Masucci. She was a Junior Board Member of St. Francis Hospital for 30 years, a member of the American Women's Volunteer Service of WWII and a member of St.

Anthony's Parish. She was married in St. Anthony's Church on February 8, 1932. Mrs. Romagnoli is survived by her husband of 67 years, Louis P.

Romagnoli, Sr. of Wilmington; her daughter, Kathleen Apostolico of Wilmington; and her son, Louis P. Romagnoli, Jr. of Greenville. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Of Wilmington. Passed away on Thursday, July 22, 1999 surrounded by his family after a battle with lung cancer. He was a loving husband, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. For the past 19 years, Bob had a successful career with Conectiv starting as an engineer and progressing through various areas of management. His last position was Field Resource Manager.

He was a graduate of Sun Valley High School, Aston, PA and he continued his education at Widener University where he received both his B.S. in Engineering in 1980 and M.B.A. in 1986. He was an active member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Bob had a passion for the game of golf.

He loved music, traveling, his family and his friends. He also enjoyed volleyball and coaching baseball. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Linda, whom he has know for 30 years; his parents, Harold and Lois of Aston, PA; sister, Kathy Keeley of New Hartford, NY; brothers, Keith of Wilmington, DE and David of Aston, PA; 16 nieces and nephews and many friends. Bessel was married to Arlen D. Bessel on November 28, 1964. She was a registered nurse for the Delaware Division Hospital, Wilmington, DE from 1956-1969, where she was the head nurse in a surgical ward. Gerald retired in 1982 from the former Sears and Roebuck on Market St. in Wilmington, DE. He was an avid golfer and gardener. Gerald was also a strong supporter of the Fighting Blue Hens of his Alma Mater, The University of Delaware. Gerald is survived by a son, Jeffrey A.

Mr. Killen worked for the State of Delaware for over 20 years, first as a Magistrate, then as a oocio-Legai services ooorainaior for the Public Defender's Office, and most recently in Legal Management for the Division of Alcoholism, Drug Abuse and Mental Health. He was an avid runner and completed the New York City Marathon and the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C. He was a 1 955 graduate of Salesianum School and a graduate of Mount St. Mary's College.

He received his Master's degree in Counseling at Loyola College in MD and his law degree from Widener Law School. He served on several boards of community organizations and he was a member of St. Patrick's R.C. Church, Wilmington. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Patricia A.

Killen; his daughters, Mary K. Munoz of Baltimore, MD and Kathleen K. Veteri of New York City; his mother, Kather-ine G. Killen of Wilmington; and his grandson, Thomas J. Munoz.

Arrangements by MEALEY FUNERAL HOMES Grace Geneva Davis Formerly of Dover, died of Alzheimer's Disease July 22, 1999, at the home of her daughter, Betty Terry, In Beltsville, MD. Mrs. Davis was born in Ridgely, MD in 1909 to Howard Clifton Bessie Mosley Wilson. In 1919, the family moved to Cheswold, DE.

After her marriage to Wilson S. Davis in 1934, she and her husband moved to Wilmington, DE where they resided and worked for over 40 years. During World War II, Mrs. Davis made nylon for parachutes at the DuPont Company. After the war she and her husband operated a small restaurant in Wilmington, after which she worked until retirement as a pastry cook for Tower Hill School in Greenville, DE.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She is survived by her daughter Betty Terry; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Elizabeth Davis of Hartly, DE Mae Collins of Cheswold, DE; and a godchild, Collette Carney Wheat-ley of Dover. She was predeceased in 1994 by her husband, Wilson; and by 3 brothers, Charles, Howard Clarence Wilson; and a sister, Marjorie Wilson. She was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women, Farmington Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and the Harrington Senior Center. Her husband, Leon E. Donovan, died in 1977. She was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard A.

He was a school teacher and Athletic coach for 40 years, teaching at schools in Florida, West Vir- ginia, and Delaware schools in the ape Henlopen District, Ocean View, Milton, Georgetown, Lewes, and James Grove School. He received his Masters degree from Marshall University. Mr. Lowe was a veteran of World War II, serving with US Army Quartermasters Corps. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Quinnie Lou; sons, James E.

Died peacefully at home, Sunday, July 26, 1999 surrounded by her family. She was born in Kingston, MD, the daughter of W. Coulborne and Lida E. (Stephens) Wilson. She received her RN degree from the Union Memorial Hospital School of Nursing Baltimore, MD in 1934 and worked for several years at Johns Hopkins University Hospital and Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore.

She was a member of the Milford Memorial Hospital Auxiliary where she was recently honored for 60 years of service. She was the first co-chairman of the first Milford Hospital Fair in 1957 and was president of the Auxiliary in 1959. She was instrumental in organizing the hospital gift shop and the first hospital volunteer cart. She served on the advisory committee for the Delaware Technical and Community College School of Nursing. She was a member of Milford's New Century Club and the Shawnee Country Club.

She was an avid golfer and won the Shawnee Ladies up in 1974 as well as the Ladies Golf Association Tournament in 1967. In 1973, she broke a long standing ladies Shawnee Country Club course record with a 75. Mrs. Masten was a member of the Avenue United Methodist Church, Milford. Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Raymond W.

Masten; 2 sons and daughter-in-law, Daniel R. Masten and Dr. A. Robert Masten and Dr. Elizabeth F.

Masten, all of Milford; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn M. and Harry Humes of Milford; 1 brother, Earle H. Wilson of Merritt Island, FL; 2 sisters, Lida W. Wells of Milford and Ruby W. Hancock of Pocomoke City, VA; her sister-in-law, Ruby Johnson of Pocomoke City, VA; 10 grandchildren, Thomas H.
