Commission house and local selling depressed cotton futures in forenoon trading. Traders attributed the selling partly to discouragement over fai-ure of the market to make further progress on the upside, following; re-ent advances into new seasonal high ground. Quiet conditions in the cotton textile market and uncertainty over the government cotton selling policy also contributed to uneasiness In the market. Noon prices were 25 to 35 cents a bale lower than the previous close. March 31.27.
