Douglas W. Connellee, a Cecil County businessman and former member of the Maryland House of Delegates, died of heart failure Tuesday in Union Hospital. He was 71. Mr. Connellee, of 103 Kentmere was proprietor of Kentmere Realty Inc.

in Elkton and CBC and Fairwinds Realty companies in Kent County. He also owned and operated the Elk Theater in Elkton. He served on the Elkton Town Council from 1958 to 1965. He was selected by the Democratic Central Committee to fill the House of Delegates vacancy created by the death of Guy Johnson in 1965, and ran unsuccessfully for election to the seat in 1966. He was a past president of the Maryland Theater Owners group.

His first wife, Mildred died in 1962. He is survived by his wife, Margot a son, Richard D. of Elkton; two daughters, Ann C. Johnson of Annapolis and Susan C. Orr of Port Deposit; a stepson, Milford H.

Sprecher of Takoma Park; a stepdaughter, Washington; a Melissa brother Clark Sprecher D. of Aberdeen; a sister, Ledora C. Cooper of Royal Oak; three grandchildren; and a step-grandaughter. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Trinity Episcopal Church, Bridge Street.

Roland James Yerkes Roland James Yerkes, 96, of 1312 Greenleaf Road, Oak Hill, formerly of Kennett Square, died Wednesday in Brandywine Convalescent Home, 505 Greenbank Road.

Mr. Yerkes, a retired carpenter, worked for J.E. Rhoades Co. in Wilmington for many years, until age 75. He was a member of West Grove United Methodist Church in West Grove, Pa.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, the former Anna Kerns; a son, Donald Yerkes of Seaford; a daughter, Louise Hughes of Wilbrother, Hobart Charlottesville, N.C.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Frank Mancari Frank "Blackie" Mancari, 89, of 111 Flintlock Road, Birchwood Park, died Tuesday in the Parkview Convalescent Center, 2801 W. Sixth where he had stayed for the past three weeks.

Mr. Mancari operated confectionery stores at Second and Orange streets and, later, at Fourth and Madison streets, before retiring in 1962 after more than 30 years as a local merchant. He was born in Calabria, Italy, and emigrated to the United States in 1913. He is survived by his wife, the former Elizabeth Nardo; four sons, Dominick of Wilmington, Alfred and Louis, both of New Castle, and Vincent of Hockessin; six daughters, Mary Bensinger, Marie Jenny Padovani, Dolly MacDougall and Angeline Peo, all of Wilmington, Grayce Constantine of Altamonte Springs, and Carla Mancari of Charleston, S.C.; a brother, Carmen of Soberata, Italy; 38 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and six A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday at 9:30 a.m. i in St.

Mrs. Kisilitchak was a title clerk and bookkeeper for various car dealers, including Van's Chevrolet in New Castle, Anchor Pontiac in Elkton, and William H. Porter Chevrolet-Buick in Newark. She was a member of St. Basil Ukrainian Catholic Church in Chesapeake City, Md.

She is survived by her husband, Wassil three brothers, Nicholas Belendy of Philadelphia, Michael Belendy of Elkton and Harry Belendy of Chesapeake City, and a sister, Barbara Belendy of Chesapeake City. in St. Basil's Church. Burial will be in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Chesapeake City. Elizabeth Pierce DOVER Elizabeth Pierce, 88, of 535 American formerly of Tatnall Street, Wilmington, died Wednesday in Kent General Hospital of respiratory failure.

Mrs. Pierce moved to Dover from Wilmington in 1982 to live with her daughter-in-law, Grace Pierce. She was a patient in Courtland Nursing Home in Dover for the past four months. She was a member of Emmanuel Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Wilmington. Her husband, Willard, died in 1965.

She is survived by three grandchildren, Linda P. Dolan of Millsboro, Barry W. Pierce of Concord, N.H., and Susan P. Gottfried of Winter Park, and four greatgrandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m.

McClain, 53, of R.D. 1, died of a heart attack Tuesday in Southern Chester County Medical Cen- ter's emergency room. Mrs. McClain was a member of Second United Presbyterian Church of Oxford, and the church's Women's Association and Deacons Board. She was an assistant leader and member of Rachael's Tent No.

29, and the Order of Eastern Star Lodge 90. She received her high school equivalency diploma last summer. She is survived by her husband, Allen S. three sons, Robert A. of Oxford, Sterling, stationed with the Army in Fort Bragg, N.C., and Stephen L.

of Wilmington, seven daughters, Lorraine E. Dickinson of Wilmington, Elizabeth A. Bell, Ruth P. McClain, and Susan P. McClain, all of Newark, Marcella I.

McClain of Exton, Sherry L. Jackson of Oxford and Kathleen L. McClain at home; two brothers, James P. Jones Douglasville and Robert L. Jones of Fostoria, Ohio; a sister, Shirley A.

Swain, former Del. CIO aide, dies at 88 Otis W. Swain, former vice president of the Delaware Congress of Industrial Organizations and active in local community affairs for many years, died from complications of a stroke Tuesday in the Churchmans Village Nursing Home, Ogletown-Stanton Road, in Ogletown. He had been a patient there since May. Mr.

Swain, 88, of 1310 N. Scott St. retired in 1961 as a key man at the Electric Hose Rubber Co. on 12th Street, after 38 years' service. From 1949 to 1950, he was vice president of the state Congress of Industrial Organizations.

He had also served as vice president of District 7 and Local 184 of the United Rubber Workers of America. He was a member of the Wilmington Board of Health for six years in the 1950s and early 1960s. After retiring, Mr. Swain was active in the March of Dimes campaigns, serving as assistant cam- Martha P. Bunting DAGSBORO Martha P.

Bunting, 81, of R.D. 2, died of a heart attack Tuesday in Peninsula General Medical Center, Salisbury. Mrs. Bunting was past worthy matron of Order of The Eastern Star, Chapter 12, in Millville, the American Federation of Women's Clubs and Bethel United Methodist Church in Dagsboro. She belonged to the church's United Methodist Women.

Her husband, Harry died in 1973. She is survived by a son, Norris L. of Dagsboro; two daughters, Mary Louise Warrington of Selbyville and Eula Mae Graves of Georgetown; two brothers, Horace E. Pepper Sr. of Dover and Howard W.

Pepper of Bethany Beach; three sisters, Emma Foote of Claymont, Effie Biel of Philadelphia and Mary Hayes of Dover; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Wilmington. The family requests that flowers not be sent. Antonio Travaglini Antonio Travaglini, 78, of 912 Hartley Place, Kirkwood Gardens, died of a stroke Tuesday in St. Francis Hospital. Mr.

Travaglini retired in 1971 after 15 years as a construction worker for DeFrancesco and Sons contractors in Wilmington. He was a member of St. John the Beloved Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Assunta; a son, Dominick of Westmont; two daughters, Gina DeFrancesco of Lindell Village and Lina Giordano of Penndrew Manor; a brother, Joseph of Philadelphia; and six grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Saturday at 9 a.m.

in St. John the Beloved Catholic Church, 907 Milltown Road. Friends may call Friday after 7 p.m. at the McCrery Memorial Chapel, Kirkwood Highway and Duncan Road. Entombment will be in Cathedral Cemetery, Lancaster Avenue.
