Independence Mall. Arrangements by the MCCRERY FUNERAL HOME. Msgr. Wegner, 77, Boys Town Head OMAHA (AP) The Rt. Rev.

Msgr. Nicholas Wegner, who directed Boys Town from 1948 to 1973 and built the home into a $200 million institution, died yesterday after a long illness. Msgr. Wegner, 77, died at St. Catherine's Hospital Center for Continuing Care, where he spent the past year after suffering several strokes.

The exact cause of death has not been determined, according to the Rev. Robert Hupp, who succeeded Msgr. Wegner. Msgr. Wegner became Boys Town's leader when its founder, the Rev.

Edward J. Flanagan, died in 1948. Father Hupp said Msgr. Wegner: "Thousands of Boys Town alumni will mourn his passing. He filled the big shoes of the founder, and it was under his management that the home grew to what it is today." Boys Town, a private Roman Catholic institution caring for orphans or boys referred by courts or social agencies, achieved considerable recognition after a 1938 movie "Boys Town," starring Mickey Rooney and Spencer Tracy.

Alfred S. DeLuca Sr. Brought BBB to State Alfred Samuel DeLuca 67, founder of Delaware's Better Business Bureau, died yesterday at his home, 108 Edgewood Drive, Edgewood Hills, of an apparent heart attack. Mr. DeLuca retired in 1970 after 31 years with the Du Pont Co.

During World War II, he worked on small arms munitions at Du Pont's Remington Arms TNT development and procurement for the Manhattan Project. At his retirement he was supervisor of business methods and investments at the Louviers Building. After his retirement from Du Pont, he spent five years as head Henrietta M. Yasik Henrietta M. Yasik, 80, of 607 S.

Harrison died at her home this morning after a long illness. Mrs. Yasik's husband, John F. Yasik died in 1960. She is survived by a son, John F.

Jr. of Wilmington; two daughters, Eleanor J. V. Licki of Wilmington and Virginette Tusio, with whom she lived; 10 grandchildren and six great of Christian Burial will be offered Tuesday morning at 9 at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church, Linden and S.

"Jack" Clancy, 81, a native of Ireland, died unexpectedly on St. Patrick's Day in Troy, N.Y. Mr. Clancy, who had a riding stable in Troy, had been associated with the late Donald P. Ross as a horseman for Brandywine Stables in Delaware.
