In Memoriam DUNN In Loving Memory of Quinton Russell (Russ) Dunn Russ, A year has passed since you left this earth to reign with GOD above, and daily miss you and the ways that you expressed your love. But I want you to know that Whenever I am troubled And lost in despair I bundle all my troubles up And go to GOD in I tell Him I am heartsick And lost and lonely, too That my mind is deeply burdened And I don't know what to But I know He stilled the tempest And calmed the angry sea And I humbly ask if in His love He'll do the same for And then I just keep quiet And think only thoughts of peace And if I abide in stillness My restless murmurs cease. Lovingly Submitted, Your Wife, Christine C. Dunn DUNN In Loving Memory of Quinton (Russ) Dunn If he were with us today, he would say, Please don't say that I gave up just say that gave in, Don't say I lost the battle for it was God's War to lose or win; Please don't say how good I was, but that I did my best; Just say I tried to do what's right To give the most I could, not Please don't give me wings or halos, that's for God to do; I want no more than deserve, no extras, just my due Please don't give flowers without love or talk in real hushed tones; Don't be concerned about me now, I'm well with God, I've made it home; Don't talk about what could have been It's over and it's done Just see to all my family's needs, And pray for each one; When you draw a picture of me, Don't draw me as a saint; I've done some good, I've done some wrong So, use all your paint Not just the bright and light tones; Use some gray and dark; In fact, don't put me down on canvas, Paint me in your heart; Don't just remember the good times, But remember all the bad; For life is full of many things, Some happy and some sad But if you must do something Then I have one request Forgive me for the wrongs I've done, And with the love that's left Thank God for my soul's resting, Thank God for I've been blessed, Thank God for all who loved me, Praise God who loves me best.

official, of Glen Mills, dies in Kosovo Associated Press By TOM BUTLER Special to The News Journal PRISTINA, Yugoslavia David Riley, the U.N. refugee agency's highest official in Kosovo, died overnight of apparent natural causes, his office reported Thursday. He was 50. Riley, of Glen Mills, joined the United Nations in 1981 and rose to become the top officer overseeing U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees assistance projects worldwide.

He was named to lead UNHCR operations in Kosovo in June 1999. After the international peacekeeping force entered Kosovo that month, Riley set up office in a warehouse outside Pristina, the province's capital. There he began managing UNHCR's assistance program to help refugees from the war-torn province return home. Riley spent at least one day a week visiting UNHCR operations in Kosovo and meeting with residents. He stopped by the village of Prejlep monthly to gauge the progress people there were making in rebuilding their community.

"David Riley was an exceptional human being, much and respected by his colleagues, who distinguished himself in a number of emergency missions around the world," said UNHCR Special Envoy Dennis McNamara. Riley served in the U.S. Peace Corps before joining the United Nations as a volunteer in Somalia. Arrangements were still being made for a memorial service in Pristina. Riley is survived by his wife and son, who live in Geneva.

tional Symphony. Former winners of the duPont prize include John Adams, John Corigliano and Ellen Taaffe Zwilich. Samuel Rhodes, a member of the Julliard String Quartet, was soloist in the Wernick concerto, inspired by the Dylan Thomas poem of the same name. In his speech, the composer described the challenge of writing for a solo instrument with as little "cutting power' as the viola; its voice cannot be heard above a large orchestra. His solution was easily visualized as the orchestra was reconfigured to allow for four separate "solo" ensembles: quartets of strings, winds and brass and a combination of harp and percussion.

The result is a poignant if somewhat solemn composition. The music is smart and challenging, but still quite accessible to the listener. Franz Schubert's "Great" C- Major Symphony (1828) runs nearly an hour and one lively hour it is.

The composition's wealth of melodic material and emotional vitality makes it a great audience favorite. Music director Stephen Gunzenhauser got an enjoyable and generally sturdy performance from an orchestra filled with strange faces. The four-movement work emphasizes enthusiasm and sophistication. Its richly orchestrated melodies spin the listener through a series of conversations, dances and assignations. The third movement (Scherzo) displays the vibrant, urbane attitude that defines the Viennese view of life.

Melodies and dance rhythms swirl through the work like whipped cream and chocolate through one of that city's signature confections. But Schubert's music is no mere confection. True, it provides sweetness and instant gratification, but its sustained energy and variety reward the audience with substantial artistry for its entire span. 10:51 a.m. 57 Reads Way, New Castle Corporate Commons.
